I doubt if I have a single follower left. I haven't posted in about 9 or 10 months. Needless to say, things have been busy around the Bice household. After our vacation to Ft. Morgan last August, Harper started "Monkey Class" on Tuesdays and Thursdays at FUM and Noah went back to his morning class at Tillis. Josh was busy running his distributorship and my photography business picked up during the fall. I struggled to stay caught up with that and everything that goes along with being a mom, wife, and homemaker. Laundry mountain took over, of course... and is still currrently on the loveseat-I NEVER seem to get caught up. Aanyways, that's my excuse for not blogging, and I am stickin' to it.
To catch you up, we've added 3 new members to our household. Around Noah's birthday each kid got a kitten. Noah got a little orange one who he names "Jett". Juddson got a black and white one, "Tomcat" (after Tom from Tom and Jerry) and Harper got a tan and black and white fuzzy one, who she names "Coffee Cat Race Car Bice"-- we just call him Coffee though.
Noah turned 5 on November 2, and had a splendid Mario birthday party. Hollie helped us A TON, making koopa troopa cupcakes and a huge Mario for a bean bag toss. She even made a mushroom pinata and homemade wooden stands for her cupcakes. She was amazing!
Christmas was an exciting time, Nanna's house was full of babies. Livi and Lake and Allie were new to Christmas at Nanna's and it was great to have all of the little cousins there. Santa brought Harper a doll house and some games and some barbies, and a Moxie girls guitar. Judd got some little people stuff, a keyboard, a bowlingn set, a game, and a light up noisey motorcycle, and a leap frog computer thingy. Noah got a boxing set, complete with a punching bag and gloves, an electronic violin, some board games, and alot of bakugan and hotwheels stuff. The boys VERY FAVORITE gift was the new Super Mario Brother Wii game, from Granny and Pa. Noah beat the entire game in only 5 days. I want a Nintendo sponsordship!!!
I have a gamer on my hands.
After the holidays ended and the new year began, business slowed down for me and we got back into a halfway normal routine. Harper turned 4 at the end of January. She had a beautiful Dora cake and Dora bounce around at her party. Nanna and Pappa got her a Dora tricycle which she rides around the house constantly.
Judd just had a birthday on April 19. He had a Sonic the Hedgehog and Tails party. Since they didn't have a Sonic bouncearound, he had the big green dragon one (like Noah had) and was very pleased with it. Since they all loved HJ's trike so much, Nanna got one for each of the boys... it's a traffic jam in our house with 3 trikes zooming all over.
In the past few months, Noah has backed off the wii games somewhat and has started playing more with his toys. He has several favorites and spends alot of time packing them in bags, boxes, or baskets, dumping them out and moving them to another container. Pa has been teaching Harper about dinosaurs and she wants to be called "dino girl". We have also been working with her on not sucking her thumb and have gotten her a little thumb wrap thing to help her remember. She has been thumb suckage free for about 4 days now. Pa got her a big box of dinosaurs to celebrate. He loves it as much as she does. She can name them all and knows if they are nice or mean (if they eat leaves or people). Judd is the new gamer in the house. As soon as his feet hit the floor in the morning, before his eyes are open he asks "where is one pwayer?" (one player remote for the wii.)
They like to watch Sonic on youtube, Dragon Tails, CatMouse, The Littles, and a bunch of other oldies from Netflix.
A few weeks ago, Noah's occupational therapist recommend we try a brushing technique with him. We have seen major growth and improvement in the areas of his vocabulary, listening, and overall mood. We are so proud of him and excited about this new therapy.
